"Women occupy a mere 0.5% of about 3,500 years of recorded history" (Maya Salam, 2019).

HERstory is the amalgamation of passionate ideas brought to life through the Dream for Change Project, hosted by Women@Dior and UNESCO. HERstory hopes to enrich the education landscape in Australia by re-teaching the history curriculum with inconsideration of historical women figures that have been written out of history. With hopes to increase confidence, self-worth, motivation, representation and equality for women during a pivotal point in their development years, guiding them through their schooling years, everyday lives and future professions. This database is targeted towards students, both female and male, between the ages of thirteen to fifteen years-old and their educators. This initiative is a two-pronged approach to women empowerment, through the education of young men as well.
